Dr. David Paul – President and CEO

DBA Management, Leadership, Motivation, Northwestern Polytechnic University. MBA, Management Sciences, California State University; MS in meteorology and math; BA from Princeton in Chemical Engineering. Dr. David Paul is the principal owner/founder and incorporator of The Cameron Group, Inc. He is a retired Colonel with the US Air Force who has been in Space Systems and Engineering for over 32 years. He is author of the book, “Dare to Care; How High Mutual Regard can enhance productivity and engagement at work” Previously, he was at Pratt-Whitney, as the Business Operations Director Responsible for $180M in program revenue, EVMS reporting, Business practices, and negotiations. Worked with contracts, finance, controller, program managers, material and procurement. Was responsible for policy and practices in program management and cost improvement initiatives. Dr Paul was also a Deputy Program Manager and Chief Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company.


Dr. Bill Webster – Executive Vice President, Business Processes and Systems Engineering

Ph.D., Electrical Engineering, Cornell University. Quickly turned six startups and three divisions of major corporations into strong growth businesses. Leads the Business Processes Consulting Team for Cameron clients’ programs, providing current solutions, toolsets, metrics, facilities, training. Founder, CEO in 3 startups and joined 3 others as executive in 1st round tranche, all were acquired. C-Level Executive with previous roles as Vice President, Engineering – Litton, Vice President – Vice President, NetConvergence, President, TCGI. For Areva Solar, world-leader in large (250MW) solar facilities, delivered 30 processes, metrics, training in Engineering and Supply Chain Management. Skilled in Sarbanes Oxley audits. Team Leader in Program Management and Process Definition for enhancing business operations. Jet Fighter 3-D Trajectory / Tracking Algorithm Development and Systems Architecture. His most recent engagements used distributed multi-modal sensor data collection devices in a secure real time communications network. Marketed and was Program Manager for two firms for a place in the NIE Field Systems Networking Exercise. Networked hundreds of Commercial Smartphones: App – Situational Awareness moving location maps, R/T video, VoIP. Proposed and installed over 20 commercial Fixed Broadband Wireless Systems worldwide. Started TCGI, created & deployed 30 Weather Radar / Satellite Stations, world-wide, developed Ephemeris fast-calculation equations / SW for Satellite Tracking using just a Mini-computer. Conceived, designed, prototyped original Terrain-Following Radar now on all Combat Aircraft / Tanks. Patent – Power Consumption Control for Integrated Circuits (enabling PC / Laptop SLEEP mode operation).

Dr. Edward J. “Ned” Britt – Executive Vice President, Space Systems and Technology Development, Chief Scientist and Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

BS, Engineering Physics, University of Arizona; Ph.D., Nuclear Engineering, University of Arizona. Dr. Britt has over 40 years experience in analytical research, engineering design, laboratory testing, and R&D management. Some areas of research and development have included space nuclear reactor systems, thermionic energy conversion, low energy plasma physics, laser concepts, and various other aspects of space power, propulsion and weapons detection. Dr. Britt is a co-founder of several research corporations including Cameron Technology Development Company, Rasor Associates, Inc; Space Power, Inc; International Scientific Products, and Russian- American Joint Stock Company INERTEK. Dr Britt was President and CEO of Space Power, Inc. when it was acquired by Pratt & Whitney Space Propulsion Division of United Technologies Corp.

Dr. Ron Clark – Senior Vice President, Space Systems and Technology; Development; Space Architecture and Technology Applications, Advanced Technology, Sensing Systems and Physics

Ph.D. Solid State Physics, Florida State University B.A., Physics and Math, Arkansas State University. “Hands on” experimental physicist with high level systems integration experience. Currently conducting and analyzing Low Energy Nuclear Fusion Experiments from his laboratory. Dr Clark also initiated and led new campaign for a $1B+ In-Space Transportation System. Managed IRAD efforts for Lockheed Martin Space Systems. Created architecture for next generation, $3.5B GPS III system. System Architect for multiple communication system development. Successfully led capture efforts for $5B+ space communication campaign: AEHF. Managed efforts for the National Space Communications System.. Created 30 person team to develop and evaluate architectures for advanced energy, sensor, and satellite systems. Created and/or led multiple projects and/or campaigns in areas including energy systems, astrophysics, computer-based simulation, optics, communication, and other technical areas. Led advanced projects office in classified programs. Created and led 100 person Technology Applications department at the Lockheed Space Systems R&D Center in less than 3 years, winning over $150M of external R&D contracts. Created and managed $350M/yr technology department at DARPA for DoD. Created and managed R&D multiple R&D projects for the US Navy.

Dr. Saleem Drera – Vice President, Nuclear Consulting and Deputy Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Drera has a PhD in Nuclear Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. He received two BS degrees from the University of California, Berkeley in Nuclear and Chemical Engineering, and he has an MS degree from the University of Colorado in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Drera’s expertise lies in the knowledge of computational and non-computational reactor core and particle physics for criticality, shielding, and design applications. Prior to joining the Cameron Group he held employment at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory – Lockheed Martin and the Electric Power Research Institute. Dr. Drera has advanced computational skills: Nuclear: Monte Carlo, Point Depletion etc… (MCNP, SCALE, etc…); Mechanical: CAD (SolidWorks, ProE), CFD, FEA / Stress analysis (Cosmos, Abaqus); Chemical: ASPEN; Programming: Fortran, C++, Java, Matlab. Saleem has a Private Pilots License, received in August 2003. Part 61 Flight Rules.

Prof. Mitchell L. R. Walker II, PhD – Advanced Space Propulsion Systems

Dr. Walker has over 15 years of experience in design, analysis, and manufacturing of advanced in-space propulsion systems as an employee at Lockheed Martin Space Systems and faculty member at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His primary research interests lie in electric propulsion, plasma physics, and hypersonic aerodynamics/plasma interaction and encompass experimental and theoretical studies of advanced plasma propulsion concepts for spacecraft and fundamental plasma physics. Beyond his basic research program, Dr. Walker consults in the areas of electric propulsion system design, root cause on-orbit anomaly investigation, spacecraft integration, advanced propulsion technology evaluation, electric propulsion technology development roadmaps, and vacuum technology.

Dr. William A. Good –Senior Vice President, Space Operations; Program Manager, Vehicle Based Screening

Dr. Good has broad subject matter expertise and experience in management, aerospace transportation systems, nuclear reactor design, safety, and security; metallurgical and materials engineering, and information technology. He has managed projects, systems engineering, and operations research for space commerce, multimodal transportation, global logistics support, risk analysis, security operations, and innovation management for a variety of airline, aerospace, mineral extraction, and intermodal transportation companies and agencies including ESTS Corporation, the Missile Defense Agency, Halliburton, McDonnell Douglas, Martin Marietta, Rockwell, TRW, and US Marine Corps Reserve. Dr. Good has built his expertise not only across a broad range of industries, but also vertically, mastering numerous skills and applications for computer-aided engineering, statistical analysis, dashboard analysis, programming, networking, enterprise resource planning, and geological resource extraction. Adding a coolness factor, he has more than 30,000 hours piloting over 100 types of military and commercial aircraft. Dr. Good has earned his Doctor of Management in TQM and Statistical Process Control, Masters of Engineering degrees in Space Operations and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, an MBA in Quantitative Analysis for Operations Research, and numerous professional certificates, certifications, and honors. He also holds CSEP, CISSP, and CCNP certification

Mike Tresko – CFO, Treasurer, Member of the Board of Directors; Finance, Contracts, Cost Analysis

Mr. Tresko has both an MBA (Management Sciences)and BS (Business Administration) from California State University of the East Bay. Over 15 years managing and growing both revenue and margin through project cost control, and finance and operations management. Extensive experience in new business and cost proposal development, and project evaluation and venture analysis. Successful track record in structuring new business deals and managing operations. Reputation for big picture thinking, adapting quickly, establishing processes, and working special projects. Secret Clearance Current (EBI Last Current 2000). Mr. Tresko was employed by Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems, Sunnyvale California as a new business financial manager for North American Sales. He was responsible for sales of Commercial Programs (Telecommunications Satellites). Provided new business cost volumes on large satellite deals. Mr. Tresko provided cost volume, cash flow and investment return information on more than 30 proposals annually; more than 10 deals (worth over $2.5B) in new business were won by LM. He also modeled and analyzed several investment opportunities including the $1.5B Asia Telecommunications Joint Venture, leading to LM’s investment in the venture.

Norihiko Handa – Vice President, International Consulting Services

Norihiko Handa (MS, nuclear engineering, Tokyo University, Japan,1976) was a senior fellow in the Nuclear Energy Systems & Service Division of the Toshiba Corporation. He retired in March of 2011. He started his career in development and application of probabilistic safety assessment and fracture mechanics to LWR as well as FBR. In 1981, he suceeded to lead a natural circulastion test in experimental fast reactor of Japan, JOYO. Since 1982, he was involved in licensing works of prototype fast reactor of Japan, Monju. He newly established a safety citeria of the fuel safety by using experimental data perfomed in Toshiba and HEDL. He developed severe accident scenario including post accident heat removal for Monju licensing with help of similar studies made during the licensing of the US CRBRP. He also performed many PSA studies for Monju. These form the baseline of Japanese fast reactor safety of today.

Marion Thompson – Director, Nuclear Fuels Processing Technology

Mr. Thompson has 37 years management and technical experience with the General Electric Company in nuclear safety, mixed oxide (MOX) fuel fabrication, fuel materials and process research and development, chemical processing, mechanical engineering and plutonium facility startup, operation and decommissioning. His expertise includes technical and economic evaluation of fuel cycles and process systems and performance of systems engineering to achieve quality production and reliability. He performed fuel cycle assessment and economic evaluations of oxide and metal fuel, actinide recycle, excess weapons plutonium disposition, and plutonium and enriched uranium reactor cores. He has extensive experience with proposals, specifications, procedures, program management and interfacing with customers.

Dr. Mahadeo Patel – Director, Structural Analysis

Dr Patel was at General Electric Company for 30 years with successive responsibilities for: 1) DOE development programs for structural/seismic analysis methods, finite element codes, and design criteria for LMR and Space Reactor structures and core components; 2) Analyses of pressure boundary, internal structures, and core components for US and Japanese LMRs for design basis loads and beyond design basis events including energetic core disruption and core melt accidents; 3) Analysis and ASME qualification of the Lungmen plant (new GE ABWR) reactor structures and control rods; 4) Analysis and ASME qualification of repair/replacement designs for reactor components in existing US and Japanese BWRs.As a consultant since 2004, Dr Patel has provided structural analysis support (GE, EXELON, Toshiba, Hitachi, Areva, Westinghouse) in repair/replacement of BWR components including steam dryers, core shrouds, core spray lines, spargers, jet pump components, sensing lines, ECCS strainers and piping

David Blessing – Director, Commercial Nuclear Power Division

Expert in overall integration of complex mechanical and electrical systems and in directing efforts of teams of specialists. Experienced in developing nuclear plant designs from initial concepts through to final engineering drawings. Expert in naval architecture of submarines and surface ships. Excellent communication and writing skills and ability to collaborate with others to get the job done.

Paul Roege, PE – Director, Government Affairs; Defense Acquisitions, Energy Program Management

Col. Roege (US Army, ret.) shares his expertise and leadership in Defense acquisitions and energy program management as The Cameron Group’s Director of Government Affairs.  He graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point, received his MBA from Boston University, earned his Nuclear Engineer degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a registered Professional Engineer.  As an engineering program manager at the Hanford and Idaho National Laboratory sites, Col. Roege jump-started critical projects to stabilize plutonium leftover from the Cold War; package spent nuclear fuel from Three Mile Island; recover, package and ship transuranic waste; and manage nonproliferation and threat reduction projects in the US, former Soviet republics and other foreign locations. In his military career, he led Army and DARPA activities to combat WMDs; plan and organize stabilization and reconstruction of oil infrastructure in Iraq; and develop Operational Energy concepts, plans and policies. Col. Roege has extensive experience designing and operating petrochemical and nuclear fuel cycle plants and leading multinational teams in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and North and South America. Dennis Eckenrod – Director, Airline Customer Relations

Dennis Eckenrod provides consulting and speaking services to NASA through the engineering, analysis, and security risk management firm, Centra Technology Inc. Also a captain at American Airlines with thirty years’ experience, he is skilled in operations, management, research, and development in international and domestic airline operations. Dennis has served as the Chief Pilot at the Dallas-Fort Worth hub and has piloted B-777, B-767, B-757, MD-82, and MD-83 aircraft, as well as serving as Flight Engineer on the B-727. He began his career as an Air Operations Specialist with the California Air National Guard and then established, managed, and piloted corporate aircraft at Duncan Air Charter. Gopi Mamidipudi – Director, Software and Educational Services

Dr. Vince Teofilo – Space Systems Design, Advanced Nuclear and Energy Technologies

BEE-Manhattan College, ME Nuc. Engr, PhD Plasma Physics- NYU. Dr. Teofilo has 46 years of experience of research and design management of spacecraft and advanced energy technologies development. This includes 26 years’ experience at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. managing Spacecraft engineering design and development for Hubble Space Telescope and multiple Strategic Defense, USAF and NASA programs including the Mars Phoenix Lander. His experience also includes R&D at PNNL, Bechtel Research and Westinghouse on advanced nuclear fission and fusion reactors. He has also performed research and teaching at Princeton University, NYU and SUNY Maritime College.

Dr. Chandra Kakarala – Nuclear and Chemical Engineering

Dr. Kakarala holds the Ph.D. Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Akron. He earned two M.S. Degrees in both Nuclear Engineering and Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and two Bachelor of Science degrees; one in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and one in Chemistry from Andhra University, India.

Glenn Koehler – Space and Ground Systems Requirements Analysis

Darryl Bramlette – Launch Vehicle Analysis and Operations

Mr. Bramlette has over ten years of experience in program management and over twenty years experience in systems engineering on high technology programs. Experience in subcontract management and proposal development, as well as cost reduction efforts and design trade-off studies. Over thirty years of experience in all aspects of Solid Rocket Boosters & Space Propulsion Vehicles, technology, design, manufacturing, system integrations and launch support. A solid back ground in hands on team-building and problem-solving skills. Mr Bramlette was key employee of United Technologies Corporation, Pratt & Whitney — Chemical Systems Division. He was Program Manager/Chief Engineer on critical programs: Inertial Upper Stage (IUS); Booster Separation Motors for the Space Shuttle; and Integration and launch support services for the Missile Defense Agency’s Targets and Countermeasures Directorate. He conducted studies and performed the necessary liaison to insure confirmation and verification of design of Solid Rocket Boosters & Space Propulsion Vehicles. In this capacity he was responsible for design of solid rocket boosters and spacecraft system integration. He also was in charge of, requirements verification, interface management, reliability, materials and processes, as well as solid rocket operational test planning. He also led efforts on Preliminary Design Reviews and Final Design Reviews; and he developed and controlled the specifications for various solid rockets to propel missiles and spacecraft.

Richard Wheeler – Business Analysis, Project Management, Systems Engineering, Process Improvement, Requirements Management

Richard Wheeler performs business analysis, engineering and business process development, and project management. Richard is PMP trained and Lean/Six Sigma certified. He places emphasis on thorough requirements elicitation; their accurate statement, parsing, and allocation; traceability, validation, and verification; and integration with other engineering processes such as risk management and testing. He has helped AREVA Solar and Lockheed Martin Space Systems Corp. define engineering responsibilities across the product life cycle, retain and consolidate process knowledge, identify best practices, and establish baselines for process improvement. He has also mapped scattered engineering documents and rebuild the SharePoint site to reduce risks, smooth process flow, and increase traceability of process compliance. In addition, Richard manages Cameron’s website and social media outreach and is frequently called on for his skills in technical writing and presentations design. Before that, he led systems engineering modifications to the Air Force Satellite Control Network. As a holder of the FCC’s General Radiotelephone Operator License (grandfathered from the First Class license) and Amateur Extra Class License, Richard’s first love is hands-on involvement. He is motivated by the opportunity to learn and to know that he has delivered tangible value in whatever he does.

Robert Hessler – Product Development Management, Product Line Management, Systems & Requirements Engineering

Mr. Hessler is a seasoned award-winning Engineering Manager and Sr. Systems Engineer with over 20 years’ hands-on experience in high-technology cross-functional project/program management. Also 10 years’ experience in systems architecture and requirements engineering, and 5 years’ experience in product line management and generating winning proposals. He built his expertise across several industry sectors including space systems, military systems, telecommunications, and entertainment. Expert in electronics product architecture, requirements engineering, problem-solving, cost reduction, design for manufacturing, subcontract management, and vendor management. He led both internal and customer design reviews including Conceptual Design Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews. Mr. Hessler emphasizes clear and simple technical writing including requirements generation, parsing, and allocation. He played a key role in building a pre-IPO startup company to a value of $1.6 Billion, helping to double annual revenue seven years in succession. After observing how work environment and practices made large differences in employee performance, he developed a unique combination of practices to boost employee, project, and business performance.
